Cyberdise vs Mimecast Engage

Renewing Mimecast awareness training? Compare before you move

Mimecast Awareness Training is end of sale, and customers move to Engage at renewal. Keep Mimecast for email if it works for you. Cyberdise runs the practice and the reporting loop next to it.

Awareness from your gateway vendor, or beside it

Both run email simulations, assign training based on risk, score people and put a report button in Outlook.

If you want awareness from your email security vendor, fed by gateway data, Engage keeps it in one place. Cyberdise makes sense when practice has to go beyond the inbox, or when you want to bring your own courses.

Where it runs

Mimecast delivers Engage as a multi-tenant cloud service, with no on-premises hardware, agents or appliances.

Your choice

SaaS with servers in Germany or Switzerland, your own cloud, or your own servers.

Feedback in the moment
Nudges need Engage Pro

Engage Core assigns training through risk watchlists. Nudges come with the Pro tier.

Right after the moment

A failed exercise leads straight into training, and reporters get an answer.

Getting exercises delivered
Direct only behind its gateway

Mimecast delivers simulations directly for its own gateway customers. Other setups send by SMTP and need allowlisting.

Straight into the inbox

Exercises land directly in Microsoft 365 inboxes, past spam filters and transport rules, with less allowlisting to set up.

Switching at renewal

Nothing changes on the email security side. Users sync from Active Directory or Entra ID, courses you built yourself come along as SCORM, and the Report-a-Phish Button installs in Outlook for Microsoft 365 or Exchange on-premises.

Mimecast's own SCORM videos expire when the subscription ends. Cyberdise's courses take their place, with 20+ core topics in 12+ languages. Want to try it first? The Community edition is free and self-hosted for up to 75 users.

What changes at end of sale?
Mimecast Awareness Training is no longer sold, and customers move to Engage Core at renewal. It is a natural moment to compare.
Can we keep Mimecast email and use Cyberdise?
Yes. Cyberdise does not replace your email security. It runs the practice, reporting and training next to it.
Which channels can we train beyond email?
SMS and real phone calls, alone or combined with email in one campaign.
Can we use our own SCORM courses?
Yes. Import them into the Cyberdise LMS and run them next to ours.
Can it run on premise or in Switzerland?
Yes. Use SaaS with servers in Germany or Switzerland, or run it on your own servers.
